Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship
For you to be eligible for scholarship, you must meet the following:
- Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree at any recognize institutions;
- Do not have a graduate or PhD degree;
- Must be 35 years old or below at the time of application i.e. born in 1988 or after
- be a resident of a Sub-Saharan African country (mentioned here);
- have lived a significant part of their life in a Sub-Saharan African country;
- present economically disadvantaged financial circumstances
- have good academic excellence track record
- show leadership qualities or potential;
- demonstrate an interest in and commitment to giving back to their home community
- must have a Canadian study permit to study in Canada;
- someone who will not claimed asylum or protected person status after reaching in Canada;
- commit to returning to home county upon graduation
However, note that persons who is a Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents are not eligible to apply for this award.
Funds from the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at university of british columbia cannot beconsider to study any programs at the academic university
How to apply for university of British Columbia Scholarship
